Adults

Our adults are encouraged to continue to grow in their faith through a variety of educational and faith-nurturing opportunities.

Sunday Mornings at 7:30 am
Men's Bible Study - Ned Segelken and Bob Roesky lead this men's group that is currently studying the lectionary passages used in worship on Sundays.

Sunday Mornings at 10:10 am

The Psalms for Today - This engaging look at the psalms is the     perfect study for those wishing to begin or enhance their understanding of who God is and who we are called to be as God's people. Beth   Tanner does not offer easy answers but rather moves readers to come to their own conclusions. Her contemporary examples show that though the world has changed since the psalms were written, humanity's need to search their souls is as powerful as ever. Join us on Sunday     mornings in room 8 during the Sunday School hour at 10:10 beginning on September 9th. George Ritter will lead this six week study.

Animate: Faith – How can we understand and communicate some of the central truths of the Christian Faith in the 21st century? David Bubb will lead this six week DVD series that will help us explore some of the eternal Christian truths for our time today. The class will meet on     Sunday mornings in room 10 during the Sunday School hour at 10:10 beginning on September 9th with an identical class meeting on Wednesday nights at 7pm beginning September 5th. Please sign up at the Info Center if you are interested in the Wednesday night class.     We will hear brief presentations by some of the leading voices in the Christian faith today and then have an opportunity to study, reflect and share. Topics and presenters include—God: Faith Is a Quest, Brian McLaren; Religion: Spirituality Is Not Enough, Lillian Daniel; Jesus: The Revolution of Love, Mark Scandrette; Church: An Imperfect Family, Bruce Reyes-Chow.

Fridays at 9:30 am

This class meets 9:30 - 11:30 am in room 8. All are welcome as we continue on our journey of lifelong learning. On September 14th, we will begin a six-week study by Priscilla Shirer: JONAH - A Life Interrupted

Interruptions happen in our lives - plans that don't go perfectly, unexpected events - you name it, we've all been there. But, how we react to these interruptions can make or break us! Come, and we'll study and discuss together how to sail the sea of interruption - hopefully without going the way of Jonah! Please sign up at the Info Center so we can reserve a book for you. If you have any questions, please contact Hazel Riegler.

Children

Our children have wonderful teachers and classes on Sunday morning that help them to grow in their faith. We will have classes for preschool, kindergarten through grade 2, and grades 3 - 5. They use "Feasting on the Word" curriculum, which is lectionary-based and connects them with what was preached during worship.

Vacation Bible School - 2019 dates coming soon!
