Our November book is The Day the World Came to Town by Jim DeFede, the moving true story of a community who opened its homes to more than 6,000 stranded airline passengers on 9/11/01. We’ll discuss it in the church library on Monday, November 27th at 7:00 pm – all are welcome!

Stewardship

A reminder from the Stewardship Cornerstone that there is still time to send in your pledge of time, talent and treasure. If you have not submitted your    commitment, please take the opportunity to do so. Forms can be obtained from the Info Tower. Thanks for supporting all the good work that Mifflin does.

Nursery

We are in need of volunteers for November and December. If you can spend some time loving on our little ones, please go to Sign Up Genius on the church website or sign up at the Info Center.

Deck the Halls

On November 26th, we will “deck the halls” in preparation for Christmas. The festivities will begin immediately following the second worship service. A light soup lunch will be served. Decorations will be presorted and ready to go (more fun, less frustration)! You may decorate as a family or form your own group. Come and have fun with your church family. Fa la la la la!

We have two opportunities for Christmas Caroling and are looking for singers of all ages who love to sing carols. The first chance is on Nov. 19 during the Holiday Lights Celebration. We will gather after the Puppets’ performance (around 3pm) and carol inside local businesses on Mill Street. On Dec. 17th we will meet at the church (around 3:00) to carol to our homebound        members. There are sign up sheets for both events on the Info Center.

Holiday Lights Festival

Our own 8th Day Puppets will be presenting at The Sanctuary (downtown Gahanna at the corner of High and Town) this afternoon, November 19th at 2:30pm. Come support our puppet family before going to enjoy the other great activities at the festival.

Come Light the Candles

Advent is quickly approaching and we still need a family to share the Advent reading and light the Advent candles during worship on December 10th at the 1st service. Please sign up at the Info Center if you are interested.
