Deck the Halls

On November 25th, we will “deck the halls” in preparation for Christmas. The festivities will begin immediately following the second worship service. A light lunch will be provided. Decorations will be presorted and ready to go (more fun, less frustration)! You may decorate as a family or form your own group. Come and have fun with your church family. Please sign up at the Info     Center. Please contact Courtney Riegler with questions.

Advent Sunday School

In this fast-paced world it seems odd to say that we celebrate Advent by waiting, but this waiting is far more than a passive submission to time. Advent is a time of active preparation for a whole new way of life ushered in by     Jesus' birth. This four-session study introduces four major themes that help Christians move meaningfully and patiently through the season of Advent: waiting, accepting, journeying, and birthing. The class will start on Sunday, December 2nd at 10:10 am and meet in room 10 with Kathi Bubb facilitating the conversation.

Keeping Our Kids Safe

Our church Session recently voted to use the services of the company “Protect My Ministry” to more efficiently run our required background checks on volunteers working with the children in our many ministries. We are     currently updating our records. Please be aware that any volunteers who need a current background check will be contacted by this company via an email request to update your records. If you have any questions, please   contact Jeanne Stonerock (614-477-9847) or Julie Oswalt at the church.

Parents’ Night Out and Gift Wrapping

Parents, here is your chance to spend an evening out together or perhaps doing some holiday shopping! Youth raising funds for next summer’s Chicago Mission Trip or Presbyterian Youth Triennium invite you to go out on the town while we babysit your child/children on Friday, December 14th from 6pm-9pm at the church. We will have games, crafts, movie and snacks. We respectfully ask $20 per child. Families with more than one child attending are $15 for each additional child. Note: Whether or not you will be enlisting our           babysitting services, we will also be providing gift wrapping! Tis the season! Gift wrapping will be by donation. Please sign up at the Info Center for these services so we can plan appropriately.
