Love one another with mutual affection...Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another...

What is Mifflin’s Shepherd Ministry?

Church members and active participants, along with their families, will be randomly assigned to a “Shepherd”, who is an active Elder or Deacon.

Why are we having a Shepherd Ministry?

The Session of Mifflin is forming this ministry to help establish meaningful connections between the Elders and Deacons and the congregation, and will help fulfill the officers calling as spiritual leaders and the congregations calling to be the Body of Christ.

What do I have to do?

Nothing! Your “Shepherd” will make contact with you and will pray for you and your family, as well as pass along any concerns to the pastor. There won’t be any gatherings, nor will you be asked to share any information that you would rather keep private. It is simply a way to stay better connected with those who are a part of the Mifflin community. Of course, you are welcome to pray for your Shepherd.

We are CALLED by God’s love to be the Body of Christ:

- Celebrating God’s goodness;
- Growing together in faith;
- Living God’s Word;
- Reflecting Christ;
- Being accountable for all God has entrusted to us.
