Adult Sunday School

Here is the schedule and description of upcoming classes:

October 22 – “With All Your Heart” dvd six week class begins

“With all Your Heart” dvd series by Ray Vander Laan is filmed on location in Israel and Egypt. Do you remember where your blessing comes from? In Exodus, God warned Israel to remember him when they left the dry desert and reached the fertile fields of the Promised Land. In this class you’ll     discover how quickly they forgot God and began to rely on themselves. Find out what it means to remember the Lord in your own life on this one-of-a-kind spiritual pilgrimage. This class will be led by Teri Eriksen in rm 10.

October 29 – “Searching for Happiness” five week class begins

“Searching for Happiness”, based on a book by the same name by Martin Thielen, will seek to debunk the myth that the key to happiness is being rich, successful and beautiful. Using psychological research and scripture, the class will explore ten practices that can lead to a fuller life, including cultivating optimism, focusing on the present and nurturing relationships. This class will be led by Kathi Bubb in rm 5.

Good Friday Prayer Walk

You will have any opportunity to participate in a Prayer Walk at Mifflin. Arrive any time between 10am and 1pm, and again from 5pm to 7pm. This walk may be done as an individual, with a friend or as a family. The Prayer Walk takes you through seven stations set up in our Sunday School classrooms, each with a scripture, a reflection and an activity that you do at your own pace. These stations typically take 20–30 minutes and are appropriate for elementary children through adults. There will be contemplative organ music playing in the sanctuary from 12:00 - 12:30 pm.

Easter Party

On April 15th we will have our annual Easter Party – so much more than an egg hunt! We will have crafts, snacks (coffee for the parents), games, and the 8th Day Puppets will be performing! Be sure and join us at 10am for a great time – children AND their parents or grandparents welcome - and don’t forget to bring the Easter baskets for those eggs. If you would like to donate toward this party there is a donation box at the Info Center.

Suggestions are: plastic eggs, candy that does not have any nuts or peanut butter in it, small toys, bubbles, or erasers that are small enough to fit into a plastic egg. Contact Kathi Bubb with any questions.

Easter Sunday

April 16th, join your church family in celebrating Jesus’ resurrection! Worship will be at regular times. Please join us at 10am in Fellowship Hall. The Deacons will be providing breakfast! If you would like to help with the set up, cooking, or clean up, the Deacons would welcome your help, just let them know.
