A generous man will prosper;
he who refreshes others will
himself be refreshed.
Proverbs 11:25
Various committees and groups contribute
to Mission activities at Mifflin Presbyterian
Church. These include Deacons, Christian
Education, Logos, Bethel Bible, Vacation
Bible School children, Presbyterian Women,
and the Session, specifically the Service
Cornerstone. As a result of the generosity
of the members of the congregation, we are
able to touch many lives, locally, nationally,
internationally, and within our Church community.
Our Church participates in the funding
of our congregation’s youth mission
trips. In 2006 both the Middle and High
School groups traveled to Pittsburgh to
work on the Pittsburgh Project. Each group
attended a week with other youth of the
same age and joined forces with other church
groups to do updates and maintenance on
homes for low-income and elderly residents
of the Pittsburgh area. Other trips have
been to Juarez, Mexico and New York City.
.
Recent adult mission trips have included
a Dominican Republic trip in 2005 and several
trips to Louisiana since Hurricane Katrina.
