A
generous man will prosper;
he who refreshes others will
himself be refreshed.
Proverbs 11:25
Various committees and groups contribute
to Mission activities at Mifflin Presbyterian
Church. These include Deacons, Christian
Education, Presbyterian Women, and the Session,
specifically the Service Cornerstone. As
a result of the generosity of the members
of the congregation, we are able to touch
many lives, locally, nationally, internationally,
and within our church community.
One local organization that we support
is Gahanna Residents In
Need (GRIN). Through our Service
Cornerstone, food is provided to needy families
during holidays. Our food pantry is open
the rest of the year to anyone in Gahanna
who is in need. For more information or
to contribute to GRIN, please contact mifflin@mifflinpres.org.
We reach out to the Columbus area by supporting Meals
on Wheels and Open Shelter in downtown Columbus.
Monthly, two or three Deacons distribute meals to
those in the community who cannot prepare their
own. The Deacons also coordinate a group of volunteers
each month to prepare and serve a meal to the Columbus
Open Shelter.
Other local organizations and individuals have benefitted
from our benevolences this year, among them:
Buckhorn Children’s Home
Gahanna Holiday Lights
Youth for Christ
Campus Crusade for Christ
Faith Mission
Hunters Feeding the Hungry
Mifflin’s Youth Choir
Presbyterian Campus Ministry at OSU
Salvation Army
Volunteers of America
As you can see, we at Mifflin are blessed to be able
to help others.
We invite you to discover all of the Mission opportunities
at Mifflin Presbyterian Church.
